You might say well, how to have more energy while all this "pandemic" madness is happening?
You see that all social media platforms are talking about it,
the news is talking about it and people around you as well.
Let me tell you one thing... all that information you receive daily is causing you stress-induced emotions.
Stress-induced emotions consume huge amounts of energy.
The wisest thing you can do is to block out all related information coming your way and focus on the things that interest you.
Let's talk about some ways you can try on how to have more energy below.
You might say I know some of these ways, but a lot of people don't do what they know, that's why repetition is key.
I urge you not to stay passive especially this period when
a lot of people do not feel they have the energy to even start.
(remember your feeling are not facts).
Once you open your eyes, preferably in the morning do 1 set of 20 fast breathing (inhale-exhale deep) from the belly and give oxygen to your whole body and brain.
During the night or sleep period, our bodies are cleansing and working to get out all of our toxins and normally that requires energy.
Doing this exercise will take you around 1 minute and will power up and charge your whole body and cells with enough oxygen, and you'll feel less sleepy.
Additionally, you can check the 3 breathing techniques I do every day.
Salt and Minerals
Once you finished the breathing process, drink 1 glass (200-300ml) water mixed with Celtic salt or Himalayan salt.
Doing that you'll give your body the minerals it needs and have better blood circulation.
Starting the day with water and minerals is a far better way than stuffing carbohydrates, sugar, milk, or any similar stuff in your body right from the morning.
Just try it for 3 days and you see for yourself the difference in your energy levels and mood during the day.
In my case, I prepare 1 glass of sparkling water with 2 mg (half teaspoon) Celtic salt the night before and place it on the side of my bed, and drink it right away once I wake up around 06:00 in the morning.
Sleep and Melatonin
Sleep is essential on how to have more energy for the next day.
Melatonin is the youth hormone, restoring your body & skin.
Your body creates most Melatonin in the period of 10:00 pm- 04:00 am. (different for time zones)
I know that it's easy to sit until 2-3 am in the night and to get addicted to the internet, different shows, Instagram or Youtube and to lose sight of the time.
I've been there myself when for 6 months I couldn't break that cycle...
You wake up in 11-12 the next day, feeling like you're behind all day long.
Finally, I decided not to sleep for 35 hours to break that cycle and went to bed at 9:00 pm.
Check out the post How I Wake Up Early.
If you find yourself in that cycle when your day is for sleep, change that bad habit as quickly as possible, because it drains you too much energy.
You know the old saying... The day is for living, the night is for sleep.
Nutrition and Iron-rich foods
How to have more energy if you're demanding from your body to process a ton of junk food?
You must have a basic understanding that some foods deplete far more energy from your body.
For example, sugar products and saturated fats are torturing your body before they are fully processed.
On the other side, Iron-rich foods such as spinach, eggs, whole grains, nuts, cashews, most vegetables, seeds, kale, and many similar are the foods that your body is made for to consume.
Avocado is full of unsaturated fats (healthy fats), that are especially needed for the optimal functioning of your brain.
It's important to chew your food well, especially with greens, because they are harder to snap their fibers so you need more chewing.
Vitamin C massively increases your absorption of iron.
Take Magnesium 1-2 hours before sleep at night, for it maintains healthy levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep.
Research indicates magnesium largely improves sleep quality.
Read the jaw-dropping book from Dr. Ken Berry " Lies My Doctor Told Me"
Doing a 20 minutes exercise or a run in your neighborhood will speed up your heart rate, increase your endorphins (happy hormones) and decrease your cortisol (stress hormone).
Exercising causes your body to release epinephrine and norepinephrine, hormones that in modest amounts can make you feel energized.
(More about Brain Chemistry here.)
It also gives your cells more energy to burn and circulates oxygen.
Moving your body guarantees that you'll sleep more soundly.
It's also wise to stretch your body for 5-10 minutes before going to bed at night.
Cigarettes and Coffee
Many experts have different opinions on drinking coffee and if it's good for your health.
But they all agree that you have absolutely nothing good from smoking.
My advice to you is not to exceed more than 2 coffees a day, and more importantly, DO NOT mix coffee with milk.
The protein from the milk (casein) and coffee in combination are unknown substances to your body when it comes to processing and digesting, so many people after drinking it experience a dysfunctional or slow metabolism, stomach pains, etc.
If you're a heavy coffee drinker of 3 or 4+ daily, force yourself to drink more water before and after you drink your coffee.
Smoking is bad for your skin, for your body, it gets your brain addictive to nicotine, your mouth smells like shit, but I'm not the one to tell you to stop smoking...
All I can tell you is that it's a great recipe for complete destruction of yourself.
How to Have More Energy If You're Feeling Fatigued?
So, it's a weekend you're making a grill with your friends and eat a lot of meat, beef, steaks or whatever...
Help your body the next day, by drinking 1 glass water, with 1 lemon in it, to provide your body with additional acids that are needed to better digest and process that kind of food.
Or if you get drunk the night before... Drink 1 teaspoon of baking soda with sparkling water to faster get out the toxins that will drain energy from your body.
If your body is short of fluids, one of the first signs is a feeling of fatigue.
Research shows that when people move faster, their metabolism speeds up, so practice in the next 5 days while walking to go 20-30% faster.
It might feel unusual and some people might think you're weird,
but who cares, you gotta do your thing!
Why I am Always Tired?
I get this question a lot...
Maybe you felt this way some time ago?
If you don't have some main interest, goal, or pathway towards you're going, I bet you're gonna feel this way most of the day.
It's nothing complex...
You don't have to become some crazy scientist or Elon Musk, just focus your energy and attention towards something you want to learn, explore, or get to know better.
All of us have some hidden and unique abilities and skills,
that we must discover, cultivate, and stimulate.
Life can be a really interesting game with ups & downs and temporarily suffering or life can be boring and full of suffering that isn't worth living...
You're the captain and the wheel is in your hands, choose which direction you truly want to go!
Remember: a feeling of energy is key to feeling happy, and you can prime yourself to be more energetic.
